I never thought going to the Dentist could be so much fun, all the staff are so friendly, the way the staff greet you, show you how much they care, you get a tour of the office, you get to go home with gifts and not only that they will play your favorite show or movie on Netflix! How awesome is that! I thank so much for making it so much fun. Keep up the good work!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Here at Smile More Dentistry, we gladly welcome questions. Our team is ready to take your calls and address your concerns! That said, we know some people like to do research first or lack time to call. So, our practice devised a solution: below are some oft-asked dentistry questions and their respective answers. Feel free to read them and learn how we operate. If you need further details, book a consultation and see us in person!

How can I make a same-day appointment with a dentist?

Ideally, you should call us by phone to book a same-day visit. This option quickly gets you in touch with our staff and lets them better grasp your situation. From there, you'll receive high-quality dental care as soon as possible. (Meanwhile, sending us an e-mail will lead to a slow response; we may take longer to reply.)

Fortunately, we’re well-equipped for same-day appointments. Most practices now maintain an extra exam room for dental emergencies and such. Plus, our team has the training to assess your issue, eliminate the source of your pain, and finalize a future treatment plan.

How much does a dental checkup & cleaning cost in Tappan?

On average, a dental checkup and cleaning cost $225 in New York state. Still, how much you pay for this package depends on your context. The expense can vary due to geography and other factors.

For example, consider your current oral health. A checkup and cleaning charges more if your teeth and gums are very unhealthy. That's only natural – the dentist must work harder to treat your mouth.

Plus, the dental team may need to use various tools and resources.

Whether you have insurance is also relevant. If a dentist accepts your dental plan, you might only have to cover the co-pay. Your policy provider would negotiate and pay the remaining fees.

What is the best way to find a dentist who does dental implants?

Remember, dental implants are complex. That means you'll need a top-tier dentist to place them. (You may get poor results otherwise.) Luckily, it's simple to find a good implant dentist.

For starters, ensure your chosen dentist specializes in implants. This specialty proves that the implant provider is experienced and well-trained. In particular, pick a dentist who belongs to an implant-related group. Good examples of these are the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Academy of Oral Implantology.

Your next move is to consider how you want the implants placed. For instance, you may wish to involve a whole dental team. (One dentist would handle placement while others manage the restorations.) On the other hand, you may prefer a single dentist performing the whole treatment.

What do you do if you can't afford a dentist?

You shouldn’t view dentistry as a luxury expense. It’s preventive in nature and preserves your oral health. Still, many dentists (including ours) will work with you to make care affordable.

Of course, one option is to rely on dental insurance. Maximizing its benefits would help you reduce your treatment costs. Best of all, we at Smile More Dentistry happen to accept almost all insurance providers.

Aside from insurance, you can also rely on a practice’s financing options. We ourselves have special offers on a range of procedures. At the same time, we can enroll patients in our Smile Savings Club for a low monthly fee. Doing so provides full coverage for yearly checkups, emergency exams, and more.
